Paul Lewis was born in Ciudad Victoria Tamaulipas. Son of missionary pastors who started their work in Mexico since 1972, he has lived there his whole life. At the age of 19 he saw the need in his Church to create a youth group and started his work as a Pastor with a small group of 4 or 5 people who had their meeting at his house. Since the beginning he considered very important the discipleship for his ministry, which made the group grow and get stronger, reaching a number of 400 people in the youth group and a very organized ministry.

In the year of 2000 the youth group had already several ministries of social work and service for the community and later Paul Lewis founded the Civil Association called “Juventud por Cristo”, which allowed him to work with the government in different projects, opening doors from schools where he was invited to give conferences about violence and self-esteem to the students. It took only several years for them to reach 38 000 high school students from all over the state.

Because of all this work, the Association has been awarded with several acknowledgements from the local, state and federal government; among them, the Award of the Youth of the State and the Award for Volunteering which were given by the Mayor and Governor.

The most recent Acknowledgement was for the Social Work the Association has been doing; it was given by the president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, in an event that was held in the official residence “La Casa de los Pinos”.

In 2006 the association started another project which was a television program focused in the youth and the Center of Virtual Counseling was founded as well. The TV program, having the same name as the association, has been aired in more than 60 countries through several television broadcasters such as Enlace TBN and Enlace Juvenil. The programs are currently broadcasted in several cities in Mexico and some other countries and through the internet. The Virtual Counseling Center is still working and reaching hundreds of young people who ask for advice and guidance through the internet. It has been a great tool that has allowed people to be saved and restored in many ways.

In 2007 he founded the aid program “Wheels of Hope” which helps people who has a disability by giving them clinic and specialized wheelchairs according to their needs. This program has been a great way to bless people in need since it has other services such as visual testing and prescription glasses give away, basic medical attention (blood sugar and blood pressure checking) and dental service for free. Since it’s very beginning, Wheels of Hope has been a passion for Juventud por Cristo and one of its biggest and most important areas.

In 2008 he became an Associated Pastor of Amor Viviente Church in Ciudad Victoria Tamaulipas, the place where the association started. Later on, his vision was expanded and he moved to the city of Rockwall, Tx where he is currently working with the Hispanic community, starting and strengthening Hispanic Churches from Lake Pointe. Juventud por Cristo is still under his direction growing more every day and has already reached several other states from Mexico.
