Along with Lake Pointe Church and DIF Piedras Negras, Juventud por Cristo USA contributed their efforts, so hundreds of people in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, México could have access to our services.

We consider a success the fact that we were able all work together to bring a better quality of life to the people in need and with a disability in that city.

Testimonies:

Mr. Juan Orduña – 52 years old
Mr. Juan Orduña has had a spinal injury for the past 20 years; his perseverance and hard work led him to participate in wheelchair speed races. Today, he is a national competitor in this discipline and has obtained a great amount of medals. His wheelchair was really worn out, which is why our team made several repairs to it, leaving it as new. Now his chair is ready for him to keep training and get ready for his next competitions and once again, lift the name of Mexico on high.

Mr. Juan Saucedo - 51 years old
Mr. Juan Saucedo has diabetes, which is why he constantly suffers from ulcers in his feet. Due to this reason, almost all of the toes in one of his feet have been amputated. He earns a living selling candies on the streets, which is complicated for him because in his wheelchair he can only carry a small box with candies, since he has to hold it at the same time he pushes his own wheelchair. Seeing his need, a PET car was donated to him to make it easier for him to move around the city and easily carry more products with him. When he saw the PET car he smiled and said “now I can even sell oranges with chilli in the summer.”

It is only with your support that we can continue working and expanding our impact in Mexico. Go to: http://juventudporcristo.us/index.php/contribute-donation and make your donations.
